I got there and was checking the menu before asking for a table. I then asked the hostess (in English) if the happy hour was still going on and she first said “no”, then she turned to a guy who seemed to be the manager and asked him in Spanish if the happy hour was still going on. He answered her (in Spanish) that if someone asks that, says “yes”. My partner didn’t hear that and before she could say something, he asked for our table. As we sat, I told her I speak Spanish and I would like to see the happy hour menu. She laughed and left. As our waiter got to our table, I asked him again and he said there was no happy hour at that time. I called the hostess and she first lied and said the first guy didn’t say that, and I asked her “are you being honest?”. She was embarrassed and clearly was lying, and went to the guy and told him that. The guy said no happy hour.
All this story shows how dishonest they were. Had my partner not asked for a table right at that time, we would have gotten the happy hour, because as the guy said “give the happy hour menu to those who ask for it”.
I don't care paying the full price, as I did it. But if the happy hour is over, just say it and be honest to the guests.
Other than that, the food was average, but our...
Read moreOh Mexico is a taco paradise that not only tickles your taste buds but treats you to a front-row seat of the beachy bliss! The view alone is worth a visit this taco shop. Classic and super cars alike cruise by like they're starring in their very own parade. The rest of the time, enjoy watching tourist cycle past with varying skill level.
It's great people watching, but the birria tacos are where it is at. These are worth the trip, and the fight for a parking spot. These tacos are all the craze right now, but I have a feeling Oh Mexico knew what they were doing before the trend hit. The meat is tender, juicy, and bursting with slow simmered spices. Here's the real kicker though: They come with a whole platter of saucy companions, just waiting for you to dip, drizzle, and drench. It's like a choose-your-own-adventure for your taste buds, and trust me, you won't want to miss out on this saucy affair.
You can't have tacos without a margarita, and these margaritas are not an afterthought. These are lime-forward margaritas that leave a smile on your face even after paying...
Read moreMe and my husband l came here to get some drinks and an appetizer. We ordered each a frozen margarita or on the menu it's called a "mango frozen" and a "strawberry frozen". Then we also ordered an appetizer called "Volcano". The drinks arrived, and unfortunately, there was not much flavor it mainly tasted heavily in tequila, so neither of our drinks had mango or strawberry flavoring. My husbands drink allowed him to finish, but mine was not right. It was like a 7/11 slush where you drink the liquid, and it leaves the ice left. Then the Volcano food came, which is like a tostada. I thought it would be like a pile of chips. It was super delicious, though, but the time of the check came. For these THREE items, it came out to $95!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY. Way to over prized for how bad the margaritas were, and the appetizer was not worth it. We were gonna come tomorrow for lunch but after that bill...
